Active ingredients for very dry skin
For very dry skin or skin prone to neurodermatitis, active ingredients must be able to do one thing above all: provide moisture and prevent further fluid loss!
Evening primrose oil
Evening primrose oil (Oenothera biennis oil) has been used as a natural remedy for centuries because it contains a high proportion of linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid and is therefore a valuable source of polyunsaturated fatty acids. These strengthen the skin barrier, relieve itching and can normalize the water loss in people with neurodermatitis (atopic dermatitis).
Vegetable glycerin
Vegetable glycerin has mainly moisturizing
Properties. Applying glycerin strengthens the skin barrier and protects the skin from further loss of fluid. Vegetable glycerin is particularly well tolerated by the skin as it has a low allergenic potential. It is the absolute basic active ingredient, especially for people with skin prone to neurodermatitis.
Squalan
Squalane is the ideal source of moisture. The naturally occurring lipid is extracted from various oils and is characterized by the fact that it is particularly light and does not leave a greasy film. It keeps the skin supple, has an antioxidant effect and, above all, counteracts further moisture loss. Particularly sensitive skin benefits from this natural power ingredient.
Bisabolol
Bisabolol is a plant-based active ingredient extracted from chamomile. It has both anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties. At the same time, it moisturizes, has a very low allergenic potential and can relieve signs of irritated skin, such as itching and redness. If the skin barrier is damaged, for example due to neurodermatitis, bisabolol helps to strengthen it again.
For our products we combine proven active ingredients with the best from nature!
Suitable ingredients in baby care
Sensitive baby skin usually needs little care and is great just the way it is. These natural ingredients help baby skin stay healthy.
almond oil
Almond oil [ prunus amygdalus dulcis oil ] is ideal for skin care because it is rich in saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. Almond oil also contains linoleic acids, which are moisturizing and stabilize the skin's protective barrier. Due to its low allergenic potential, almond oil is ideal for baby care and is the main ingredient in our baby range.
Marigold
Marigold [ calendula officinalis ] is an impressive active ingredient that has both wound-healing and anti-inflammatory properties. In the case of mild skin irritations (e.g. in the diaper area), marigold extracts can provide quick relief and promote regeneration. There is an allergenic potential and this should be taken into account.
Apricot kernel oil
Apricot kernel oil [ prunus armeniaca kernel oil ] is similar in its properties to almond oil and is ideal for baby care products. It contains a high concentration of valuable unsaturated fatty acids and, in combination with vitamin E, which has an antioxidant effect, has a positive effect on the skin's resilience, moisture and wound healing.
Shea butter
Shea butter [ butyrospermum parkii butter ] smells good, tastes good and can even be used to make chocolate. :) Above all, valuable ingredients such as oleic acids, allantoin and beta carotene provide rich moisturizing care. The oils in shea butter penetrate particularly deeply into the skin and promote regeneration and resilience.
