First we have an idea. Sometimes you or our children have an idea too and tell us. Then, long before production, our founder Michaela works with the laboratory to fine-tune the perfect recipe, selecting ingredients, scents and consistencies. As soon as the first sample arrives from our production in the Allgäu , it's time to test, test, test! The recipe is then optimized until we are really convinced that the product meets our requirements in every respect.

Placing a cosmetic product on the market in the EU is subject to strict requirements. Stability tests, a microbial load test (KBT) , special tests (e.g. SPF) and a safety assessment must be carried out before production can start. In addition, the product must be created, reported to the EU and all packaging optimized - Tilman takes care of this for us.

The first step in actual production is preparing the mixture. Some ingredients need to be left to rest, stirred, heated or otherwise processed for some time. For the shower gel, it is comparatively simple: all ingredients need to be mixed in the right concentration in a large mixer and prepared for bottling.

Now it starts! The tubes roll into the filling machine with the top open, are filled there, sealed and then tumble out of the huge machine at the bottom. The whole thing happens pretty quickly and looks really impressive! The best thing to do is watch the video below.

The products are now filled by hand into boxes of 6 and stacked on pallets. Quality assurance uses random samples and microbiological tests to check whether all product quality requirements are met. As soon as approval has been given, the products are sent to us in Mainz. Here they are eagerly awaited by our packing team and quickly packaged - so that they can reach you quickly!

Even after production and delivery, it is our job to ensure the quality of the products and to be able to check them regularly. For this purpose, so-called retention samples are kept from each batch produced, which can immediately be used as a reference product if there are any queries. Tilman and Michaela are regular visitors to the Allgäu and their hearts always melt when they stand in front of machines that fill their own products.
