Instructions for a DIY diaper cake

A homemade diaper cake is a great decoration and a super gift for any baby shower. In this blog post, you will find a simple guide with photos and videos for your individually designed diaper cake with our boep baby care products.

What you need

• A pack of diapers in size 1 or 2

• Ribbons of your choice

• Small and large rubber bands

• Cardboard tube (e.g., from paper towels) and cardboard for the base

• Scissors, tape, and staples

Also

Various boep baby care products of your choice, for example, boep baby bath oil (100 ml), boep baby cream (50ml), boep baby almond oil (100 ml),
boep baby shampoo (100 ml)

So you don't have to search long, we have put together a lovingly curated diaper cake bundle with matching boep baby care products, a muslin cloth, and a card at a special price.

Let's get started!

Once you have all the materials, you can start crafting!

1. Roll up the diapers and secure them with a rubber band. Make sure the printed side of the diapers is facing inwards, creating uniform white "diaper rolls."

2. Cut out a square or round shape from cardboard paper for the base and wrap it with pretty paper. Cut the cardboard tube several times about 1 cm at one end and fold the ends outwards. Fix the cardboard tube in the middle of the cardboard with tape.

3. Place a large rubber band around the cardboard tube and then insert the diapers between the cardboard tube and the rubber band. The first row of diapers now stands around the cardboard tube. Then, using the same procedure, insert an outer second row into the rubber band.

4. For the second tier, shorten the cardboard tube at the top so that it is about 2 cm shorter than the top row of diapers. Then make a diaper circle just like in the bottom tier.

5. Now it's time to decorate: Cut a beautiful wide decorative ribbon to the appropriate length and wrap it around both tiers. Use a staple to secure it.

The almond oil can be nicely placed in the middle of the top diaper circle. Next to it, decorate a bow made from the muslin cloth. The cream tubes and the small bath oil can be wonderfully tucked into the diapers of the bottom tier.
