Does "fragrance-free" mean that the med deodorant stick is odorless?
The med Deo Stick contains no perfume but has a subtle natural scent due to the included chamomile and sage extracts. The Deo Stick is ideal for people with fragrance allergies and contains no added essential oils.
Water droplets are forming on my med antiperspirant stick – is that normal?
This is completely normal and no cause for concern. The ingredient propylene glycol is highly hygroscopic, meaning it readily attracts water. Water vapor from the air is drawn in, making the product's surface slightly moist.
Does the med Deo Stick contain aluminum or alcohol?
No, our med Deo Stick contains neither aluminum nor "classic" ethyl alcohol.
How often can I apply the med deodorant stick?
Since Deo Stick is not an antiperspirant, it can be applied several times a day depending on skin type and need. However, the zinc ricinoleate it contains can have a slightly drying effect on some skin types – especially on very sensitive skin after shaving. In this case, we recommend interrupting the application for a few days and caring for the armpit area. Afterwards, the application can be continued.

Ursachen & Triggerfaktoren
Neurodermitis ist die häufigste chronische Hauterkrankung im Kindesalter. Da die Veranlagung zu atopischen Krankheiten genetisch vererbt wird, haben Kinder deren beiden Elternteile z.B. an Neurodermitis leiden, ein Risiko von 60 - 80%, ebenfalls an einer atopischen Krankheit zu leiden. Neurodermitis entsteht durch ein Ungleichgewicht der Mikroorganismen, was zu einer gestörten Hautbarriere führt. Eine Überreaktion des Immunsystems auf eindringende Reizstoffe, sowie individuelle Triggerfaktoren beeinflussen den schubweisen Krankheitsverlauf.
Symptome & Diagnose
Neurodermitis verläuft in Phasen mit akuten Schüben, die von starkem Juckreiz, Entzündungen und nässenden Hautstellen geprägt sind, und schubfreien Phasen, in denen die Haut zwar weniger Symptome zeigt, aber trotzdem trocken und gereizt ist. Häufig entsteht der sogenannte Juck-Kratz-Kreislauf: Der Juckreiz verleitet zum Kratzen, was die Schädigung der Haut und die Entzündungen verschlimmert. Das verstärkt den Juckreiz, der Kreislauf wiederholt sich und der Zustand der Haut wird zunehmend verschlechtert.
Therapie & Hautpflege
Neurodermitis ist derzeit nicht heilbar, aber die Symptome können durch eine geeignete Behandlung gemildert werden. Dazu gehört die Vermeidung von Triggerfaktoren und die kontinuierliche Anwendung feuchtigkeitsspendender Produkte zur Stärkung der Hautbarriere. In akuten Fällen werden topische Therapien wie kortisonhaltige Cremes angewendet, während systemische Therapien bei schweren Formen Entzündungen durch orale oder injizierbare Medikamente behandeln.
