Your path to more balance – for skin and gut

We believe in a holistic approach: while our probiotic med Darmbasis supports you from within, our certified skincare complements your skin's needs from the outside. This creates a coordinated routine – especially for sensitive and neurodermatitis-prone skin.

Current findings show how closely the gut and skin are connected. This is precisely where our med Darmbasis comes in: with carefully selected, well-researched bacterial strains – without unnecessary additives and flexibly integratable into your daily life.

I'm excited to see if it does you as much good as it does me!

Best regards,
Michaela | Doctor, boep founder and mother of 3

Developed with care

Our production

All bacterial strains used are deposited in the German Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures (DSMZ).

The formulation combines selected bacterial strains such as Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Lactobacillus casei with other cultures that naturally occur in the human gut. The composition was deliberately designed for a balanced and everyday application.

Holistic approach

For the whole family

Our med gut health products are aimed at families and individuals who value quality, care, and a conscious daily routine. The formulas are streamlined, well-thought-out, and free from unnecessary additives – for easy integration into everyday life.

Gut-Skin Axis

For several years, it has become increasingly clear that many immune processes are also controlled by the gut microbiome. This also applies to skin diseases. Therefore, more and more people are taking probiotic supplements to support them with the following conditions:

  • Atopic dermatitis
  • Rosacea
  • Acne

Neurodermatitis

Several clinical studies in recent years have shown that the microbiome can play a key role in the course of atopic dermatitis.

The results show that regular intake of probiotic supplements can reduce both the severity of symptoms and the frequency of flare-ups. The use of cortisone-containing ointments or tablets could also be significantly reduced.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How many bacterial strains does the product contain?

Our med Darmbasis capsules and our med Darmbasis powder contain 5 billion colony-forming units (CFU) per recommended daily dose from 10 different, carefully selected bacterial strains.

How do I take med Darmbasis?

Ideally, you should take the daily dose immediately after getting up, about 30 minutes before breakfast on an empty stomach with a glass of water. It is important that no hot drinks are consumed shortly after taking the intestinal base, as the temperature can harm the bacteria.

Can probiotics be mixed with juice, muesli, or yogurt?

Yes – as long as the juice or milk is not hot, as high temperatures can harm the bacteria. However, we recommend taking it with water approximately 30 minutes before breakfast.

How long do I have to wait for the powder to take effect?

The powder should dissolve completely in the water after stirring. It is best to stir the powder with a spoon until it has dissolved. It is important that the water is not hot, but ideally room temperature, so as not to damage the sensitive bacteria.

When can probiotics be integrated into the daily diet?

Probiotic supplements can be flexibly integrated into the daily diet and are often used as part of a conscious eating routine. They are particularly suitable for people who want to specifically supplement their diet and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

They can be used both short-term and long-term and are individually integrated into daily life.

At what age can I use probiotics?

Our probiotic food supplements come in various forms and compositions, developed for different age groups. Suitability always depends on the respective product and the recommended application.

Our med Darmbasis line includes products for different life stages – from babies to children to adults – with correspondingly adapted formulations and dosage forms.

Can I take med Darmbasis while breastfeeding?

Yes, med Darmbasis can also be taken during breastfeeding as part of a conscious and balanced diet and can be easily integrated into your daily routine.

When should I not take probiotics?

Whether a probiotic dietary supplement is suitable always depends on the individual composition of the respective product. If you have known intolerances or allergies to the ingredients, you should refrain from using it.

In cases of uncertainty or special health situations, individual consultation with medical professionals can be helpful.

Can probiotics have side effects?

Probiotic supplements are generally considered well
tolerated. In some cases, temporary changes in digestion may occur at the start of use, such as flatulence, a slight
abdominal rumbling, or altered bowel movements.

These symptoms are usually temporary and subside as the individual adjusts to the product.

Is med Darmbasis suitable for permanent use?

med Darmbasis is designed for regular use as part of a balanced diet and can be integrated into your daily routine over a longer period.

How long a product is used always depends on your individual life situation and personal needs.
