How does purely mineral sunscreen work?
The skin of infants and young children is much thinner than that of adults and has very little natural protection against UV radiation. In contrast to chemical filters, mineral sunscreen works with physical filters such as zinc oxide. These form an invisible protective layer on the skin's surface and directly reflect the sun's rays. The protection works immediately after application, is free of microplastics, and is ideal for babies.
