As a doctor, it has long been important to boep founder Michaela to develop natural cosmetics for people with very sensitive skin prone to neurodermatitis. When she met bioanalyst Anni from Annisbuntewelt at an organic trade fair in January 2020, the idea of a basic cream for very sensitive skin was quickly born. In January 2022, our med series, consisting of the med base cream and a matching med wound cream, was developed – and has been continuously expanded since then! ❤️ Our med series now includes many other great products in addition to the base cream and wound cream:

We are truly delighted that we can offer our customers real added value with our med products and that we receive such great feedback about them. Of course, we were interested in how well they are tolerated by customers with sensitive skin prone to neurodermatitis, which is why we asked for their feedback! Here is a summary of your comments. ⇣
Among all testers, a large proportion stated that they or their children suffer from neurodermatitis. In addition, there was also a lot of feedback from customers with rosacea, eczema, very sensitive or very dry, but also normal skin.
First, we asked how they rated the skin compatibility of the med care:
"My daughter suffers from neurodermatitis, especially in winter. She tolerated the cream very well, and the redness and itching subsided after a few applications." – Claudia
"Our daughter has very dry skin. We tried several products before. With the base cream in combination with the baby cream, we finally feel that it really benefits her skin. Especially on her face, where she had a mild atopic eczema, her skin has wonderfully recovered and is now beautifully soft." – Anneliese
"I use the cream for my 4-month-old daughter who has neonatal neurodermatitis. Her skin is dry and sensitive in some areas of her face. She tolerates the cream very well, and a few minutes after applying it, the skin is no longer red. The dry flakes also diminish." – Melanie
Some stated that the base cream caused a slight burning sensation when applied to the skin during flare-ups. However, our med series is what is known as medical primary care, where skin care in the flare-free interval is paramount. It therefore does not replace medicines that are sometimes needed to bring the skin back into balance.
We were also interested in how our testers rated the consistency of both creams. They particularly praised the easy spreadability of the creams and how quickly they absorbed.
"I think it's perfect that the products are so easy to spread and only a small amount is needed." – Yasmin
"The consistency is perfect. It's easy to squeeze out of the tube and very quick and easy to spread on a squirming baby. It also absorbs quickly, meaning I can dress my daughter quickly after creaming. And above all, no comparison to the product recommended by our pediatrician!" – Sabine
"Especially the base cream spreads wonderfully, which is great when the child needs to be creamed several times a day." – Nele

Of course, we also asked what we could improve. Besides new products in the med range, most people primarily wished for one thing: Larger packaging! For this reason, we decided to offer the med base cream in several sizes from now on: In addition to the small 50ml tube for testing and getting to know, it is now also available in the practical 200ml Maxi tube and in the large Maxi airless dispenser!
